An Indigo flight pilot spotted a suspicious drone while landing at Mumbai domestic airport.

Mumbai: An Indigo flight pilot spotted a suspicious drone minutes before landing at the Mumbai domestic airport.

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) control room informed the airport police that at around 5. 55 pm, IndiGo flight 6E-755 pilot Asish Ranjan saw a drone some 100 feet below the plane at Kurla during landing.

"The pilot saw a blue and pink coloured drone flying about 100 feet below the aircraft, about 3.5 kms eastwards," said a CISF official.

The matter has been referred to local police for investigation.

Currently drone flying is banned in India. However, the ban is not applicable for government agencies like police.
