New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed international terminal at Harni airport in Vadodara, Gujarat on Saturday.

The new integrated terminal building equipped with international standard facilities is India’s second eco-friendly airport. Chandigarh airport which was inaugurated last year is the country’s first green airport.

Eco-friendly Harni airport has facilities which have been rated by Green Ratings of International Habitat Assessment conceived by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).

The terminal will have 18 check-in counters and has the ability to handle 700 passengers per hour.

The prime minister will also distribute artificial limbs and assisting devices to over 8,000 differently-abled people in Vadodara.
