New Delhi: In a fresh move Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has asked all state departments to identify contractual staff by November 15 and finalise proposals for their regularisation. This move by the AAP government is expected to impact more than 70,000 people.

The proposals by the state government are to be submitted to the chief secretary after all the proposals are received it will be presented before the cabinet.

CM Arvind Kejriwal said the proposal for regularisation of guest teachers was being sent to the Lieutenant Governor (LG). CM Arvind Kejriwal also said that if the LG does not approve then the Delhi government will take the matter to the Supreme Court.

However, experts believe that this decision is being taken by the AAP government is light of the upcoming municipal polls early next year.
