New Delhi: UP CM Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday sacked his uncle and cabinet minister Shivpal Yadav, again, along with three other ministers including Om Prakash Singh, Narad Rai and Shadab Fatima.
This is the second time in two months that the UP CM has sacked Shivpal, a step that can be seen as one against his father Mulayam Singh’s liking.
Along with the ministers mentioned above, Jaya Prada too faced Akhilesh Yadav’s ire and was sacked from the party.
This incident has come to light after strict warning from Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav. CM Akhilesh Yadav had called a meeting of legislators at party office in Lucknow after which the announcement was made.
Mainpuri MLA Raju Yadav told the media that Akhilesh Yadav said in the meeting ‘anyone close to Amar Singh cannot be in my cabinet’.

As soon as the news about the sacking went viral, Shivpal Yadav reached party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav’s residence.
Tensions between the Chief Minister and his uncle had escalated after Akhilesh Yadav had met the district heads of the party, who had been called by Shivpal Yadav on Saturday. Akhilesh Yadav had skipped the meeting and chose hold his own.
