New Delhi: A woman hailing from Shillong was brutally stabbed to death by her jilted lover on Monday morning at the MG Road metro station in Gurugram.
The victim who was later identified as Pinki, a 32-year-old married woman working with a beauty parlour was stabbed multiple times on her face, neck abdomen and hands by an auto-rickshaw driver.
Pinki was on her way to the metro station to catch a metro to her workplace, when she was attacked from behind by the auto-driver right outside the metro station. The accused auto-rickshaw driver, who is hailing from Uttar Pradesh, was caught and beaten up by the public before he was handed over to the police.
As per an eye-witness, even before the passers-bys could react, it was all over. The 32-year-old who was the resident of Sirhaul village was taken to Civil Hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Further disclosing the matter, Maan Singh, Pinki’s husband, said the accused, Jitender, had been stalking her for a long time. “He would often call her and even me and threatened to take her away from me,” said Maan Singh, who works at a pantry in Gurugram.
Maan Singh further added that the 26-year-old accused, Jitendra, had a gotten into a scuffle about two months ago on the same issue. Minutes before the attack took place; Pinki had called her husband informing him that the accused was following her.
The accused, Jitender, was immediately nabbed by Central Industrial Security Force staff after the attack.
