Lucknow: Soon after Samajwadi Party state president Shivpal Yadav met party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and other MLAs of the party on Tuesday, UP CM Akhilesh Yadav was spotted at the party chief’s residence.
The father-son meeting was to reinstate peace within the party and the family. Mulayam Singh Yadav asked Akhilesh to get the sacked ministers back to his cabinet but the CM also kept his condition which was to bring back Ram Gopal Yadav.
Earlier, Shivpal Yadav, after his meeting with Mulayam Singh Yadav, had showed his support for the party chief and said that he was with ‘Netaji’ (Mulayam Singh Yadav) and that he will follow whatever the party chief says. Shivpal Yadav also said that “all is well within the party”, but the recent series of events that have been following tell a different story altogether.
At present it is not clear who will be the CM face for the Samajwadi Party when Uttar Pradesh goes to elections next year. However, the veteran leaders have not disagreed on Akhilesh Yadav being the chief ministerial face.
There is absolute mayhem in the party and according to some sources within the party some of the leaders a also being approached by the other players of the state to make them join their parties and gain advantage of the situation.
