Lucknow: Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday, while addressing a press conference, made another attempt to resolve the clash for supremacy between his brother Shivpal Yadav and son Akhilesh Yadav in light of the recent events that happened over the past week.
Mulayam Singh was seen entering the party office with his brother Shivpal Yadav but his son Akhilesh Yadav did not accompany them.
MSY adressed the media and emphasized that the party is one big family and that they are absolutely united and dedicated to the welfare of the governing party. He, however, did not refrain from hinting that there were conspirators outside the party who have been trying to create differences in the party. He also asked the media to not drag Amar Singh in the controversy.
Mulayam Singh also added that Akhilesh Yadav is the CM and will remain the CM in this term and that the CM face for the next term will be decided only after the party wins a majority in the upcoming elections scheduled for next year.
Sources have told NewsX that Beni Prasad Verma will be the new general secretary of the party. The party chief, however, left the decision to reinstate the sacked ministers on Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
