New Delhi: A 17-year-old, BBA student was allegedly raped in Dwarka by two acquaintances after being kidnapped from her village in Gurugram on Sunday.
The victim who is a resident of Farukhnagar village, at least 30 km from Gurugram, told the police that she had come in touch with the two youths, Sanjay Kumar from Bhiwani in Haryana and Rajesh Kumar from Najafgarh in Delhi some time ago.
The 17-year-old victim who stays with her uncle in Noida was visiting her family in Farukhnagar village, when the two accused asked her to meet them.
As per the complaint filed by the victim, the accused took her to Dwarka’s Sector-9 in South Delhi where they later blackmailed her by demanding Rs 2 lakh, alleging that they were in the possession of the recordings of her phone conversations with them.
Failing to pay the amount, the accused raped the victim and further threatened to kill her if she made this fact public. The complainant said, “After raping me they dumped me in my village late night on Sunday.”
Further disclosing the matter, an official at the Farukhnagar police station said that, following the complaint by the victim, a Zero First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged against the accused. The accused have been booked under rape, criminal intimidation, abduction, among other sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
Commenting on the matter, Station House Officer (SHO) Vinod Kumar said, “We have booked the two in the zero FIR. The case will be transferred to Sector 9 police station of Dwarka, Delhi for investigation since the incident happened in their jurisdiction.”
This makes it the third incident against women in and around Gurugram in the past three days. Earlier, on Monday morning, a woman was brutally stabbed to death by her jilted lover at MG Road Metro Station. Also, on Saturday a taxi driver and his friend allegedly robbed and tried to rape two women bouncers of a private firm in Gurugram in a cab on the way to New Delhi.
