Mumbai: With majority of the Bollywood fraternity coming out strongly in support of Karan Johar and opposing the threats made by Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), another famous face of B-town, actor-director-singer Farhan Akhtar has condemned the deal struck between Karan Johar and MNS.
The talks, mediated by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, between MNS president Raj Thackeray and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ producer Karan Johar reached the conclusion that the latter would not cast Pakistani artists in the future and would pay Rs 5cr to the Army Welfare Fund. Farhan Akhtar questioned the same and asked as to why the film industry is always targeted.
Akhtar said that Karan Johar signed Fawad Khan when the India-Pakistan relations were seen moving towards a better side. Even Prime Minister Modi travelled to Pakistan with the intention of strengthening the ties between the two nations.
Akhtar further said that if the people are so serious about putting a ban on things related to Pakistan, then even the business between the two nations should be stopped.
