New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday launched a campaign against car-o-bar, and those found drinking in cars in public places will be dealt with strictly. A fine of Rs. 5,000 and a jail term of three months will be imposed on the defaulters.
The crackdown will start from November 7. Ahead of the campaign the government will run a campaign to dissuade people from indulging in the activity.
Further, for the ones misbehaving the fine will be doubled for them. The decision has been taken in light of the menace created by the drinkers near the wine and model shops in their cars.
Time would reveal whether this would stop the menace created by drinkers on the road or not.
