New Delhi: In a gruesome incident, a 60-year-old man stabbed his wife to death after an argument between them turned ugly.
The accused, identified as Mukesh Monga was in his car with his wife Manju Monga when he started an argument over a phone call received by his wife. Monga did not like her wife getting friendly with other men.
The argument reached a level where the 60-year-old took out a knife and repeatedly stabbed his wife, slit her throat and even tried to behead her.
Failing to flee from the spot, Monga was caught by the witnesses, after which they called the police.
Residents of West Delhi’s Hari Nagar, the couple has a daughter and son.
Police is trying to ascertain whether it was a planned murder or a crime in a fit of rage. However, police said, the presence of knife in his car inclines the case more towards it being a planned murder.
