New Delhi: An AIADMK worker on Wednesday died while conducting a ritual for the recovery of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in Tamil Nadu’s Salem district.
Reports said the man who was carrying heavy milk pots from one temple to another collapsed while walking in Salem. He was rushed to a hospital where he was declared dead.
Around 3000 AIADMK supporters took part in the ritual ceremony.
The news came a day after a woman in Tiruvannamalai was killed in a stampede at a temple procession organised by the AIADMK for speedy recovery for the chief minister.
On October 20, another AIADMK worker in Kumbakonam died after he set himself on fire.
Jayalalithaa was admitted to Apollo Hospitals on September 22 following fever and dehydration. So far, three people have died after coming to know about her health conditions.
