New Delhi: A minor girl was injured and villages were damaged on Thursday evening as Pakistan continued to violate ceasefire along the international border region. Some Pakistan posts were also reportedly damaged in firing and shelling.
The Pakistan military forces started unprovoked assaults which further spread to Hiranagar and Samba. The firing continued till Friday morning intermittently in area where approximately 24 Border Security Force (BSF) posts are located.
Reports said BSF also gave a strong and befitting reply.
Earlier, a BSF jawan was killed and seven civilians were injured in mortar shelling in Abdullian region of RS Pura Sector. Several houses and properties have also been damaged due to firing.
