Thiruvananthapuram: In another turn of events in the ugly Kerala gangrape, the DGP has ordered an enquiry into the matter.
The rape victim, in her statement on Thursday said that she faced extreme humiliation and threats from the side due to which she even had to withdraw her complaint. Regarding the same, the DGP said that another enquiry has been launched to probe the allegations regarding the conduct of the police in the case.
DGP Loknath Behera said that the allegations have been taken seriously and high-level investigating team has been asked to start their investigation once again from the scratch.
The victim narrated her horrific ordeal which occurred 2 years ago, when four of her husband’s friends came to her place and told her that her husband was in hospital. She went along with them, who then allegedly drove her to an unusual place and gang raped her.
It is when she told her husband about the torture that she had to undergo, that he urged her to go to police station and file a complaint.
