New Delhi: The Pakistani bride, Priya Bacchani and Indian groom Naresh Tewani got into the beautiful relationship of marriage on Tuesday, after receiving indirect blessings of Sushma Swaraj in the form of visas provided by the minister to the girl’s family.
The tension between India and Pakistan has been escalating Indian Armed Forces carried out surgical strike across the Line of Control with the aim of eliminating terror launch pads. This came in response to the Pakistan’s attack on an army base camp in Uri killing 19 Indian soldiers.
Mr Bacchani’s family had applied for visas in August, but getting no response from the Indian High Commission made the situation worrisome.
Chances of acquiring visas getting slim with no response from the Indian High Commission till October, the groom Naresh Tewani addressed the problem to Sushma Swaraj on micro-blogging site Twitter.
Known for her quick responses and helping Indians in distress, Sushma Swaraj took no time in addressing the problem and got the visas cleared in time for the wedding.
The family arrived in Jodhpur on Sunday and the wedding took place on Tuesday. Both the families were immensely happy and so were the bride and groom.
