New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday came down heavily upon the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) legislator and rape accused Rajballabh Yadav to surrender before the court by Wednesday.
Yadav had allegedly raped a minor girl on February 6 this year at his Biharsharif residence. After absconding for a considerable time, Yadav surrendered before a local court.
Yadav was suspended from the party on February 14, a day after an arrest warrant was issued against him. The chargesheet, made by Bihar Police, named a woman and her relatives who used to supply women to the RJD MLA.
Yadav, after moving High Court, got bail on September 30. The victim, after knowing this, was so terrified that she wrote to some of the journalists expecting the message to reach Bihar Chief Minister stating that she almost died after the incident and she is now scared for her family.
