New Delhi: After addressing a gathering in Goa Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to Belgaum, Karnataka to the valedictory of the year-long centenary celebrations of the Karnataka Lingayat Education (KLE) Society.

“Give me support till 30 December”, said PM Modi in Belgaum. He said that the 50 day inconvenience is necessary to punish the culprits. He also added that his government will never trouble the honest people. Our universities are not among the top 100 in the world, 10 Government and 10 private universities should resolve to do that, come forward.

PM Modi also targeted the Congress in Belgaum and said that, ” Congress is asking why did we discontinue Rs 1000 and 500 notes. Did we question you when you discontinued 25 paisa?”

About the decision of demonetising the Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 note ban he said that he did not hide anything from the people and he reiterated that he had made it clear that it would take 50 days to settle things.
