New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Sunday took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi posting two videos of the latter’s speech on his official Twitter account. He said Modi is happy himself while the poor are dying on the roads.

“First laughter now tears! Mediocrity comes face to face with reality”, Rahul Gandhi wrote in a tweet.

The remark comes after PM Modi broke gave an emotional speech at a rally in Goa. While addressing the gathering, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emotionally broke down and said that he left his house and family for the country and devoted everything to the country.

“I was not born to sit on a chair of high office. Whatever I had, my family, my home, I left it for nation,” Modi said.

Earlier, Modi had attacked Rahul Gandhi and said, “Those involved in big scams, now have to stand in long queues to take out Rs 4000.”

“I know the forces up against me, they may not let me live, they may ruin me because their loot of 70 years is in trouble, but am prepared” PM Modi added.
