New Delhi: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Sunday issued a statement from hospital thanking the people of Tamil Nadu for their support and prayers. She appealed to them to vote for AIADMK in the by-elections.
“Request to vote for AIADMK in Aravakurichi, Thiruparankundram, Pondicherry and Thanjavur. Though I’m unable to come in person; my heart is there,” Jayalalithaa said.
“I have taken a rebirth with the prayers of people and party cadre,” she added.
In her statement, TN CM said, “What can harm me when I have your love. I am waiting to completely recover and resume my work for people.”
Talking about a follower who committed suicide while she was in hospital, Jayalalithaa said, “I heard many committed suicide for me. I want each one of you to work for the people. Can’t afford to lose you.”
Jayalaithaa was admitted to Apollo hospitals, Chennai on September 22 after she complained of fever and dehydration.
