New Delhi: Communist Party Of India (Marxist) leader Brinda Karat on Monday lashed out at Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for asking her party’s general secretary Sitaram Yechury to join hands against NDA government’s demonetisation move.
Terming it as a desperate move by TMC supremo, Karat said that Bengal is neck deep in corruption and TMC govt was involved in many scams.
“The TMC is taking all these measures against the demonetisation endeavour because Bengal is neck deep in corruption courtesy scams like the Saradha,” Karat told news agency ANI.
Banerjee had called up Yechury on Sunday asking him to join hands with TMC in opposing the historic move taken by PM Modi to curb black money.
