Hyderabad: While the Opposition has already up the ante against the government over its demonetisation move, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday came with another shocking revelation to counter the centre over its preparations to crack down on black money and counterfeit currency.
AIMIM chief Owaisi, who is known for his controversial statements, alleged that the supplier of ink and silver threads used in currency notes is the same for India and Pakistan and asked what is the government’s planning to deal with it.
“The ink and silver thread supplier is supplying the same thing to Pakistan as well. So, what is the government going to do about it (to end counterfeit menace)?” the Owaisi said while talking to PTI.
Mentioning that the sudden move to demonetise two big value currency notes has caused a lot of inconvenience to the people of this the country, Owaisi said that the government should have given more time than it has given to exchange the old currency notes with the new ones.
