New Delhi: Following the demonetisation, there has been a huge surge in the temple donations across the country.
As per the reports, Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak temple has received twice the usual amount in donations in form of banned Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes following Modi government’s historic move to curb black money.
Meanwhile, the Maharashtra government has asked the prominent shrines of the state to deposit cash offerings in banks on a daily basis to avoid chaos. Many temple across the country have put up boards outside asking people to make donations only in new currency.
