New Delhi: Lok Sabha speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Thursday announced that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann will not be able to attend House proceedings for two more weeks after the time given to a nine-member Lok Sabha Committee, which is probing Mann’s parliament video case, was granted an extension.
Hovever, reacting over his extension of not being able to attend House proceedings, Bhagwant Mann said, it’s a ‘Muder of Democracy’.
In a controversial move, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Bhagwant Mann in July this year, uploaded a video using the ‘Facebook Live’ feature, in which he shot a video entering the Parliament, passing through security procedure, approaching towards Parliament premises and showing the procedure of how questions are asked during zero hour of the Parliament.
The 9-member Lok Sabha committee which is probing into Bhagwant Mann’s Parliament video case has been comprised of Meenakshi Lekhi and Satyapal Singh of BJP, Anandrao Adsul, Shiv Sena, Bhartruhari Mahtab of the BJD, Ratna De of Trinamool Congress, Thota Narasimham, Telugu Desam, KC Venugopal, of the Congress and P Venugopal of AIADMK.
