New Delhi: Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Saturday thanked the people for supporting government’s demonetisation move even after facing inconvenience.
“Main desh ki janta ka abhinandan karta hoon, asuvidha ke bawajood vo iska swagat kar rahi hai,” Home Minister Rajnath Singh.
Praising the demonetisation scheme, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, “It will bridge the gap between Rich and Poor; it will put a barge on terror activities, naxalism.”
“Ameer aur ghareeb ke beech ki khaai kam hogi, aantankwad, ugrwaad aur naxalwad mein kami aayegi,” HM Rajnath Singh.
Not only the Home Minister, but BJP MP Parvesh Verma also met people in queue outside State bank of India (SBI) in Punjabi Bagh, Delhi.
Ever since the government announced its demonetisation scheme to crack down on black money and corruption, people across the country have been waiting in long queues to deposit or exchange the demontised currency outside banks, ATMs and Post Offices.
Criticising the sudden decision to ban two big value currency notes, the Opposition continues to hit out the government for poor implementation of the scheme and causing inconvenience to the people.
