New Delhi: The Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha were adjourned on Tuesday due to the uproar over demonetisation issue.

Opposition demanded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s participation in the House to discuss demonetisation.

They remained united on the government’s decision of scrapping the old notes and almost cornered the BJP govt within and outside the Parliament.

However, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said the government was ready to discuss demonetisation and affirmed that note-ban was welcomed by people across the country.

The winter session of Parliament started on November 16 but proceedings were being disrupted by the Opposition on all days.
