Patna: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Binay Bihari on Monday was denied entry into the Bihar Assembly after he arrived in vest and shorts to protest the delay in the construction of Bettiah-Manuappa road in his assembly area.

The BJP MLA from Lauria sat on dharna outside the Bihar assembly and said he would continue with the attire in the winter months also.

He said he has given his ‘kurta’ to PM Narendra Modi government and ‘pyjama’ to state government led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

“Iss sadak ke liye humne apna kurta bharat sarkar ko aur pyjama Bihar sarkar ko de diya hai,” Binay Bihari said.

Bihari was not allowed to enter Vidhan Sabha. The Speaker of the House informed that the BJP MLA was violating “shishtachar” of the House.

He quoted rule 29 (1) of Assembly which prohibits “ashisht acharan” (not following etiquettes) inside the House.
