Dornier Plane: Officer’s wife tweets Modi

CHENNAI:  The Dornier aircraft that took off from Chennai went missing last Monday. Wife of one of the three crew members who were travelling in the aircraft has requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi for help.

Wife of Navigator Deputy Commandant Subash Suresh, Deepa Subash on Monday appealed for PM Modi’s attention on Twitter.

The search operation in its eighth day today has failed to locate the Coast Guard aircraft that took off from Chennai on Monday evening on a routine surveillance flight. It was last tracked at 9:23 PM, 16 km east off Chidambaram coast by radar in Trichy.

Mother of a 14-year-old child, Deepa, according to the reports spoke last with her husband on June 8, the day the aircraft went missing.

The Dornier, along with 29-year-old Deputy Commandant had Deputy Commandant Vidyasagar and Deputy Commandant MK Soni on board where Vidyasagar is reported to be flying the aircraft.

The search operation has involved several government agencies to track the missing aircraft and total of eight ships and aircrafts of the Coast Guard and Navy are part of ongoing search operations.

Wife of Deputy Commandant MK Soni too expressed her worry on Twitter and requested for Prime Minister’s help on the matter.
