Srinagar: 132 Battalion of Paramilitary CRPF on Tuesday donated classroom chairs to a school in Kral Khud, a small village in Srinagar, J&K.
The desks and benches along with other necessary furniture in the school were damaged in the horrendous floods of 2014 in Kashmir.
Muskan Sajjad, a student of the school, said, “Can't express how thankful we are to CRPF for donating chairs, it was difficult to study due to furniture shortage.”

Floods struck many parts of Kashmir in September 2014 due to the rampant rainfall, taking more than 500 lives, displacing nearly a million from their homes and causing huge property damage.
Since the killing of Burhan Wani in July and curfew-like situations in the state, studies in Kashmir remained affected. Persistent unrest in the state forced schools to remain closed. Lately schools have re-opened with classes being held regularly.
