The driver who fled with ATM cash was finally arrested from KR Puram, Bengaluru on Tuesday.

Bengaluru: At a time when the entire nation is suffering from cash crunch, the driver of an ATM van carrying Rs 1 crore 37 lakh in new currency on Nov 23 decided to flee away with the money. This incident was reported from India’s IT capital and the driver was finally arrested from KR Puram, Bengaluru on Tuesday.
As reported earlier, the driver was on his way to an ATM, but did not reach his destination but instead decided to run away with the money. Though the driver was absconding, the van was recovered the next day from Vasanth Nagar in Bengaluru carrying 45 lakh and a gun, in an abandoned condition.
On Monday, the police arrested the wife of the driver from Bengaluru. She was in possession of Rs 79.8 lakh of new currency.
