New Delhi: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist, Syed Abdul Karim alias Tunda was attacked in Karnal jail on Wednesday.
Tunda, accused of masterminding over 40 bombings in India was arrested by Delhi Police in August from Uttarakhand’s Banbasa area near Nepal border on the basis of an information received by central intelligence agencies.
Meanwhile, a team of Central Investigation Agency (CIA) has reached the spot to investigate the matter.
Security in jails has become a major concern in India. Earlier this week, 5 prisoners including chief of Khalistan Liberation Front militant outfit Harminder Singh Mintoo had escaped Punjab’s Nabha jail.
