Tiruchirappalli: 10 feared dead, 16 trapped as massive fire breaks out at fireworks factory

New Delhi: At least 10 people are feared dead and several others injured as a major fire broke out at a fireworks factory in Tiruchirappalli (Thuraiyur,Tamil Nadu) on Thursday.  
 
Firetenders have been rushed to the site and efforts are on to douse the fire. As per the officials, the building collapsed after the explosion and 16 workers are feared trapped under the debris. Rescue operations are on to save the workers caught in the building collapse. 
 
Incidents of fire across the country have increased in the past few months. Earlier in October, a massive fire at a fireworks market in Maharashtra had resulted in destruction of 200 shops and 40 vehicles.
