New Delhi: 35 nomination papers of candidates in Uttarakhand have been quashed by Election Commission on Tuesday.
After this 687 candidates are left to contest on overall 70 seats. Uttarakhand goes to poll on February 15 and Wednesday is the last date for the withdrawal of nominations.

Most nomination papers were rejected due to discrepancies. Nomination papers of all the candidates of the ruling Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party were found in order.
In all, 722 nominations were filed, the maximum of 22 in Dharampur.
