With less than 7 days left for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Sunday, while addressing a rally in Aligarh went after the Akhilesh Yadav government saying that the SP has looted youth of their jobs and it was time to make UP scam free.

Hailing Aadhar and Jan Dhan schemes, PM Modi said the Centre govt has been able to save public’s Rs 40,000 that would have been eaten by mice otherwise.

Raising the tempo for the Assembly elections, Modi said, “People of UP wants change, people want justice. BJP is fighting especially for the women, small businessmen and farmers.”

Taking a dig at the development in UP, Modi said, “Aligarh’s famous locks are now used to lock factories in Aligarh itself because the govt in Lucknow doesn’t provide electricity”

For last 70 years, 18000 villages in India did not have electricity connection, and the most numbers of cases were from Uttar Pradesh, he added.

We have launched the Ujjwala Yojana and aim to make rural India smoke-free, added PM Modi.

Earlier while addressing a rally in Meerut on Saturday, Modi while targeting BJP’s rivals in Uttar Pradesh, said that “Scam” is an acronym for Samajwadi Party, Congress, Akhilesh Yadav and Mayawati.

“Do you know what ‘Scam’ stands for? It is ‘S’ for Samajwadi Party, ‘C’ for Congress, ‘A’ for Akhilesh and ‘M’ for Mayawati.,” he said.

Elections in Aligarh will take place in the first phase of voting slated on February 11. PM Modi is scheduled to address 12 rallies in poll-bound state of Uttar Pradesh.
