Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa Jayakumar on Tuesday hit out at AIADMK for elevating Sasikala Natarajan to the position of CM.

“It’s very sad. People have not voted to her,” she said.

Jayakumar also said that there was an atmosphere of instability in the state.

“There is instability in Tamil Nadu, people are very much worried,” Jayakumar said.

Deepa added that spending 33 years with someone was not a qualification for being appointed as CM.

“To become a Chief Minister being with someone for 33 years is not a qualification,” she said.

She also said that unlike people of Tamil Nadu she was not afraid of Sasikala.

VK Sasikala’s swearing-in was deferred on Monday as Tamil Nadu Governor sought the opinion of AG on the matter.
