Minister of State (MoS) Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju on Monday took to his Twitter handle to slam the Congress party saying that the Hindu population is reducing in India as they do not convert people while minorities are flourishing. This comment of the MoS was slammed by Asaduddin Owaisi.

Not holding his cannons back, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi reacted on Rijiju’s comment by saying that he should remember that he is a minister of India, for all Indians not for Hindus only.

The Hyderabad MP further said that the minister should always remember the oath that he took as minister.

Asaduddin Owaisi tweeted, “What have the minorities of India got to do with minorities of “other” countries. It is the Constitution which guarantees rights.”

The Union Minister had embedded a news report with his tweet which states that the Arunachal Congress Committee is alleging that the Narendra Modi-led BJP govt is trying to “convert Arunachal Pradesh into a Hindu-majority state”.

He further went on and tweeted, “Congress should not make such provocative statements. India is a secular country. All religious groups enjoy freedom & living peacefully.”
