RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh where the PM said he considers himself an “adopted son of Uttar Pradesh”. Lalu Prasad Yadav asked PM Modi if he is the adopted son of UP then who is his father. He also remarked that the PM should reveal his name?

PM Modi also said the state was like his “mai-baap” that he will never desert.
Taking on the PM, Lalu asked, “When did Uttar Pradesh adopt him? For the sake of votes he is linking relations with every state. If PM has said that he is adopted son of UP then who is his father? PM should reveal name of the father also.”
Lalu’s jibe received a very strong reaction from senior BJP leader Sushil Modi, who said using abusive and un-parliamentary language against opposition leaders is part of Lalu’s culture which his sons are also adopting.
Sushil Modi also said RJD chief is seeking votes for Samajwadi Party but the people of Uttar Pradesh will teach the Samajwadi Party and the Congress a lesson.
