Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday dared Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to ban Sena mouthpiece ‘Saamana’.
“Just ban Saamna and see whether you will be seen next time,” Thackeray was quoted as saying by news agency ANI
BJP had demanded the 3-day ban on newspaper for flouting state election commission’s guidelines. Referring to newspaper’s Feb 15 edition, BJP had alleged that Saamna was making an attempt to influence the voters by printing and distributing the party mouthpiece.
Sena had hit back at BJP by saying that their demand had exposed the true face of BJP and that the party was trying to suppress the freedom of speech.
