Fresh protests erupted outside Delhi University’s Ramjas College, on Monday with the Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), carrying ‘Tiranga march’ across the capital. ABVP said they will be taking out the march, covering all the colleges of Delhi University.

Talking to the NewsX, DUSU President Amit Tanwar said, they want peaceful campus and will not allow Umar Khalid to enter Delhi University.

Earlier today, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju came under heavy criticism after the minister tweeted, suggesting that someone was ‘polluting’ the mind of the Delhi University student who has been campaigning on social media against the ABVP.

Gurmehar Kaur, a student of Lady Shri Ram College and daughter of an army officer killed in the Kargil war, has launched a social media campaign against the ABVP after the violence in Ramjas College.

Clashes took place at Delhi University’s Ramjas College on February 22 after ABVP members forced the cancellation of a seminar and then disrupted a march.
