Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi together addressed an election rally in Uttar Pradesh’s Gorakhpur on Monday.

Launching a scathing attack on the PM, Rahul Gandhi said that the Prime Minister starts spreading hate when he gets scared and insecure. “Spreading hate is in (PM Modi’s) DNA and it comes naturally to him,” he said.

“They talk about 56-inch chest, but their promises are empty”, added the MP from Amethi.

Further taking a dig at the Prime Minister, Rahul said, “Modiji is the actor, producer, director and cameraman of his own film”.

While Rahul primarily attacked the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), the UP CM took on both the Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati and PM Modi while addressing the rally on the day of the fifth phase of UP elections.

Retaliating to Prime Minister’s claim that Gorakhpur doesn’t get electricity, Akhilesh Yadav said, “I challenge anybody to touch a live electricity wire in Gorakhpur to find out if it there’s electricity or not”.

Rebuking the BSP supremo, Akhilesh said, “how can we expect development from somebody who built her own marble-idols while she was alive”.
