A major fire broke out at Kolkata’s wholesale market Burrabazar on Monday night, reports said. At least 25 fire engines have been rushed to the spot to douse the fire.
According to local media, the fire was noticed at around 9.30 pm. The local residents being evacuated and the disaster management team is at spot for relief operations.
No causalities have been reported in the incident so far.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. However the initial reports say fire was seen at a multi-storey building near Burrabazar Police Station.
On February 26, a wood repository was gutted in fire while a blaze broke out at the film city in West Midnapore. However, no casualties were reported in either of the incidents.
