At least eight people were killed and over 30 injured after a private bus fell off a flyover near Penuganchiprolu in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh early on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, the relief and rescue operation is underway. Meanwhile the injured have been shifted to hospitals in Nandigama and Vijayawada. Dozens are reported to be in a critical state.

The incident took place when the bus hit a road divider and lost control. With over 10 being reported in a critical state, concerned authorities fear that the death toll may rise further.
The bus was supposed to cover almost 1,000 kilometres from Odisha to Telangana and had stopped at Vijayawada for a new driver to take over, who lost control, hit the divider and plunged into a river in Mullapadu at around 5.30 am.
