In a move to ensure the accountability of the newly elected Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led government in Uttar Pradesh (UP), Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday directed all government officials to provide details of their movable and immovable properties and income tax details within 15 days.
The five time Gorakhpur MP and UP Chief Minister during a meeting at Lok Bhawan also asked officials to read the BJP’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ (manifesto) properly and implement it.
Earlier on Sunday, following the swearing-in ceremony, CM Adityanath addressed his first press conference and said that his government will leave no stone unturned to fulfil the promises made by the BJP to the people of the state.
The UP Chief Minister had also said that his government will work towards ensuring employment opportunities within the state, on education system.
“The government will work for all the sections of the society without any partiality, for this administration will be made accountable and answerable,” Adityanath said during the press conference on Sunday.
Yogi Adityanath took oath as the new Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in a glittering ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President Amit Shah, Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at Lucknow’s Smriti Upvan, after the BJP announced Yogi Adityanath’s name for position of Chief Minister on Saturday.
