JAIPUR: In another face-off between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi, the two prominent leaders left no stone unturned to target each other on Friday in their respective public address.

While PM Modi made a personal attack commenting about ‘political damaads (son-in-laws)’ in Jammu today, Gandhi too escalated the attack on PM threatening to disrupt the NDA government’s plan to get the Land Acquisition Bill passed in Parliament.

Stating that his Congress party would not let the ruling government to take away even an inch of farmer’s land,45-year-old Gandhi said that the “56-inch chest will become 5.6 inch in six months time”.

“Who will make it a 5.6 inch chest? The citizens of India, the Congress party, and the Indian farmers do it. You will see it,” Gandhi said while addressing a gathering in Jaipur.

The Gandhi scion then used the opportunity to also target Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje and External affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj over their latest controversy revolving around Indian Premier League (IPL) Chairman Lalit Modi where the two prominent leaders of the Modi brigade helped the former IPL king.

Slamming Raje, Gandhi said that the Raje government in the state was being remote controlled from London.

Taking a dig at Narendra Modi government’s promise to bring back the black money hidden abroad, Gandhi said that PM Modi should first focus on getting back Lalit Modi who is ‘sitting with thousand of crores’.

In an evident jibe at the culture of dynasty politics, PM Modi mocked Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law Robert Vadra, saying, “We all know what things are heard of son-in-laws these days.”
