Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the first Indian PM to visit Israel. Both the nations are set to sign several agreements during PM Modi’s visit. PM Modi will be received by Israel PM Netanyahu at the airport. This is a special gesture only accorded to the Pope or the US President.

During the visit, PM Modi pay homage to Indian soldiers at the Indian Cemetery in Haifa. PM Modi will also meet Sandra Samuels and Moshe Holtzberg, survivors of 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

Sandra Samuels, the brave Indian nanny, saved Moshe during the attack and was awarded an honorary citizenship by the Government of Israel so that she can stay with Moshe.

Rivka and Gavriel Holtzberg were killed by terrorists at Nariman House during the Mumbai attacks in 2008. The couple was serving as the emissaries of Chabad in Mumbai. The only son of the couple, Moshe survived the attack and is 10-years-old now.

Sandra said that the gesture has come as a pleasant surprise and they feel honoured.
