An Indian Army soldier was found dead on Monday morning in Manipur’s Bishnupur district. The soldier was from the 4 Assam Regiment, an official said. The cause of his death is yet to be established. The body has been sent for post-mortem examination here.
Earlier, on June 26, a similar incidence came into light when a decomposed body of an Army soldier was found lying close to a railway track.
The jawan was said to be travelling from the North East state of Manipur to Saharanpur district in Uttar Pradesh.
The body of the jawan was discovered from a village falling under Teghra police station in Begusarai district of north Bihar. The police have called for a investigation into the death of the jawan whose body was found under mysterious circumstances.
