Three terrorists were killed on Tuesday after Indian Army foiled their attempt to infiltrate the Naugam area of Jammu and Kashmir. A huge cache of weapons was recovered from the slain terrorists and the officials are carrying out further search operations.
On Tuesday morning, security personnel deployed at Indian borders were alerted by the local sources of an infiltration bid made by couple of militants in Naugam. The army acted swiftly on the matter and neutralised three terrorists, who were in the possession of war-like arms and ammunition.
Other food and medical supplies were recovered from them as well.
Naugam comes within Kupwara district which lies in the proximity to Line of Control and the area witnesses a frequent intrusion of armed men from the other side of the border.
