Indian security forces in the state of Jammu and Kashmir have increased the heat on militants that are into hiding in different areas of the Valley and have managed to nab one local militant in their relentless crackdown on terrorism. The militant was arrested from Sumbal area of Bandipora district in northern part of Kashmir.
According to the official sources, the militant is a resident of Mir Mohalla Hajan and has been identified as Shahbaz Mir, son of Ghulam Rasool Mir.
He was apprehended during an ambush laid by SoG of Sumbal and 13 RR Army at Markundal in Pushwari. A cache of pistol, fire rounds, four grenades and one knife was recovered from the militant.
In an unprecedented co-operation of Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and locals; a huge crackdown is being conducted in the infiltration prone areas of the Valley, mostly Kupwara and Bandipora.
