In an apparent signal of widening ridges between the coalition government of JD(U) and RJD in Bihar, Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav skips ‘Vishwa Yuva Kaushal Divas’ event also attended by state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Notably, earlier today the name plate of Tejashwi was covered, and later removed from the podium where he was slated to sit along with Nitish Kumar.
Both Nitish and Tejashwani were scheduled to be present to celebrate the first anniversary of ‘Vishwa Yuva Kaushal Divas’ run under Bihar Skill Development Mission (BSDM) in the state.
The development comes as the Tejashwi Yadav continuation as the Deputy CM has been under scrutiny by after being named by CBI in its FIR in a corruption case. Following the case, the opposition and sections within the government have been asking for his resignation from the Bihar cabinet.
Meanwhile, both RJD chief Lalu Prasad and son Tejashwi have denied any reports of the latter resigning from his post. The Deputy CM has maintained that he himself won’t quit until CM Nitish Kumar sacks him.
There have been reports of mass RJD ministers resigning, provided Tejashwi is removed from the post.
