In tragic news being reported from Uri Sector in Jammu and Kashmir, a Rashtriya Rifles (RR) officer was shot dead by a jawan on Tuesday morning after the officer had objected to the use of mobile phone. The deceased officer was serving in the regiment of 8 Rashtriya Rifles armoured corps.
The deceased was later identified as Major Shikar Thapa an officer in 8 RR.
The incident occurred after the officer had objected to the use of mobile phones while being on duty at a sensitive area to the Army jawan. Irked over the reproach by his senior, the jawan shot 5 bullets in the back of the officer leaving him dead on spot.
