In a fresh revelation that has surfaced in the Sasikala bribegate case, a prison staffer in a letter has confirmed the involvement of the alleged ‘dalaal’ Gajraj Maknoor, a sub-inspector in the Karnataka State Industrial Security Force (KSISF).

The letter reveals that Gajraj acted like a broker to provide all the facilities to Sasikala inside the jail. It also said that it was he who facilitated the VVIP treatment to the former AIADMK general secretary.

It is believed that after the deal was struck, Gajrar used to allow all the politicians from Tamil Nadu inside the jail to meet Sasikala and the meetings would usually happen after 7 o’ clock. The letter also said that the MLAs used to bring food once in two or three days.

Two weeks ago, Deputy inspector general (DIG) of prisons D Roopa acted as a whisteblower and exposed the VVIP treatment given to VK Sasikala inside the Bengaluru jail. She even said that the chief minister of the state Siddaramaiah was singling her out for exposing the rot within the system.

Roopa said that 59-year-old Sasikala was getting royal treatment in the women’s cell where she has been lodged since February 15 to serve her sentence.

“As a reward for bribing the prison authorities from Rao to jail warden, Sasikala gets special menu daily, cooked by special chefs in a special kitchen near the women’s cell,” Roopa mentioned in the report.
